Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

6ix Sense helps you discover events happening in Toronto, sorted by how close and how soon they are. We built the app to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version: No account. No sign-up. No advertising. No tracking. We don’t sell or share your data. The only personal data involved is your approximate location, used solely to rank events by distance.

No account, no profile

6ix Sense has no login, registration, or user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other identifying information, and we do not create a profile of you.

Location

If you grant location permission, the app uses your device’s location for one purpose only: to sort the event list by distance from where you are, so the nearest events appear first.

Saved events

Events you save, along with your app preferences, are stored only on your device. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Event data

Event listings shown in the app are aggregated from public sources, including Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, Eventbrite, NOW Toronto, and the City of Toronto’s open data. When you open an event’s link or map, that action is handled by your device and the relevant third-party service under their own terms.

Analytics & cookies

The app itself does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or cookies to track you.

Children

6ix Sense is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Data retention

Because 6ix Sense has no account system, we hold no personal profile to retain. Location coordinates are processed in memory only to calculate distances and are discarded as soon as your request is answered; they are not written to a database, log, or backup. Saved events and preferences live on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.

Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our processing of your approximate location relies on your consent, which you give through the operating system location prompt and can withdraw at any time in your device settings. Where we process minimal technical request data to deliver the Service, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the app. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we do not store your location or maintain an account, we typically hold no personal data to return, change, or delete, but you may still contact us to exercise these rights, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

Your rights under California law (CCPA and CPRA)

In the past 12 months, 6ix Sense has not sold or shared your personal information, and we do not process it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect the personal information of California residents beyond the transient location processing described above, and we do not retain it. California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. Since we do not sell or share data, no opt-out is required, but you may contact us with any request.

Canadian privacy (PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25)

We handle any personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, Quebec’s Law 25. You may request access to or correction of personal information about you, and you may direct questions to our privacy contact below. As described above, we do not store location data or maintain user profiles.

International data transfers

6ix Sense is operated from Canada. If you use the app from outside Canada, the transient request processing needed to calculate distances may occur on servers located in Canada or other countries. We rely on appropriate safeguards for any such processing and, because location data is not stored, it is not transferred onward or retained.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data involved in operating the Service, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or processing is completely secure, but the app is designed to minimize risk by not storing personal data in the first place.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

6ix Sense does not track you across apps or websites, so there is nothing to disable. Because the app performs no tracking and serves no ads, it treats every user as opted out by default, consistent with Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

Third-party links and services

When you open an event’s ticket link, website, or map, you leave 6ix Sense and interact with a third party (for example Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, Eventbrite, Apple Maps, or an organizer’s site) under that party’s own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services.

Consent and withdrawing consent

You may grant or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings (Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Location Services on iOS). Revoking permission stops all location processing immediately; the app continues to work using a default downtown Toronto location.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where required by law, provide additional notice.
